I agree with the thoughts of Antone Roundy :

I hate door-to-door sales even more than telemarketing. Both are interruption marketing at their worst. At least when an ad comes on the TV, you’re already watching TV. Nobody’s asking you to stop whatever you’re doing and give them your time.

Marketing techniques do not need to be intrusive but rather should be suggestive and informative to people who are looking.

By using the internet you maybe able to reach out to people in a more subtle way and find you get a better audience. As the person is researching in their time, you will find you are able to keep the client’s attention for a longer period of time and hence hopefully be able to convince him your service or product is of better value than the competition.

My son has just opened an online store in Brisbane and he has started to do great business by tapping into a market that is looking on the net for niche products. By connecting with “to be shoppers” on the internet you can help solve many of their problems and make a lot of money.

Why not start a blog and post regular help tips on your niche so to help shoppers with their queries. By using Market Samurai or the free Google Keyword Tool you may be able to find relevant search terms that may bring in more customers.

Being helpful is one great way to attraction marketing. People will start following you if they find you a source of good useful information.

They may even buy from your site as the trust is not strong and reliable.
