How To Create Better Email List Over Time

I agree with what Hunter Boyle wrote:
As marketers, we don’t always see the disconnect between how our offers are presented and how prospects perceive them. For instance, many email forms ask for name and email, yet offer little context or information about send frequency, specific content options or recent samples. These forms might generate larger lists, but produce lower overall response and engagement.
It is very important to make your subscribers know what they are signing up for.
I would include the following on the first page they land on after the signup process so they are fully aware on what they are going to receive in the days ahead.
1. Make sure first you connect with them on a personal basis. They should either see a picture of you or have a video explain who you are and what you are sharing with them.
2. Secondly always have the UN-Subscribe link high up in the landing page so they can exit if this information is not for them. This makes you then create a list of highly or fairly higly motivated people who are keen to get your information.
3. Mention what they are about to receive and the frequency of the emails they will receive. Make sure you always keep your timing as close to what you have promised and if you are away on holidays mention to your list that you will be away.
4. If you are giving a FREE bonus make sure the downloadable link is easy to get to.
5. You should also consider placing your Facebook Fan Page on this site so people will see your other subscribers and will begin to trust you.
6. This maybe is a great place to put small snippets of testimonials with links back to your main site. This all help with creating a feeling of overall trust.
7. It is a good idea to give them a brief of what to expect over the next few days.
8. Lastly make sure that they know that they must confirm your first email or else they will miss out on very valuable information to be sent in the next few days.
